Pilot testing of Discussion Maker is scheduled to happen during the week of March 9, 2015.  CIRCLE is working with Filament Games to evaluation this new discussion management tool.  7th Grade Teachers in Miami-Dade County Public school system’s Civic Leaders Institute are bringing their in-classroom expertise to the test.  Discussion Maker is designed to support classroom discussion around public issues linked to core Social Studies curriculum benchmarks. This page is intended to provide support to teachers who are engaged in the pilot test.

STEP 0:  Make Sure Discussion Maker Isn’t Blocked (do this before you start your lesson)

Open this URL in the Chrome browser on a student tablet: https://www.filamentgames.com/dm-conntest.  If you are unable to reach the above page, that indicates that the site may be blocked. You can also try  https://www.filamentlearning.com/dm-conntest as an alternate.  If you are still blocked, contact your school’s IT support to ask that the links be unblocked.

STEP 1:  Fill out Teacher and Student Pre-Surveys (do this before you start your lesson)
