Uses two data sets, CIRCLE’s Civic and Political Health survey of 2002 and the Current Population Survey (CPS) September Volunteer Supplements for 2002 and 2003, administered by the Bureau of the Census and the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Offers a breakdown of time spent in volunteer activity by states and age groups.
