Using data from the 2006 Current Population Survey, November (Voting) Supplement, these facts sheets examine voter turnout rates from 1978-2006, turnout rates by subgroup, and partisanship (where available from the Election Pool, Exit Poll surveys) for all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

    Hey, Fairman! Why voting is so boring? I think it’s vice versa very joliful to see people rusing in the streets to the voting boxes, everyone thinking carefully and looking at each other trying to predict their choice… it’s a really unique event!

    Well, what else should be expected? The mass media become part and parcel of our quotidian life, so is the situation with public votes and political opinion. It’s our goggle-box that is making this rate higher
